A Dance Afternoon at Lear House

Last week, we welcomed some very special guests to Abbeyfield Hoylake & West Kirby – and what an afternoon it turned out to be!

A huge thank you to Anne, Ray, Andrew, Antonia, Jane and Rod for bringing their fabulous dancing and warm energy into Lear House. From the moment the music started, the room came alive with rhythm, movement and smiles all around. Whether seated or up on their feet, everyone joined in the fun – and as you can see from the photos, audience participation was in full swing!

Our residents loved watching the group perform and even more so, joining hands and getting involved. There was a wonderful mix of clapping along, stepping in time and twirling in circles – with plenty of laughter in between. For many, it brought back memories of dance halls and parties past, and it was a lovely chance to reconnect through movement.

It’s days like this that capture the spirit of life-enriching activities for older adults here at Abbeyfield Hoylake & West Kirby. Whether it’s dancing, crafting or simply a chat with friends, we believe in creating a safe and social setting for ageing well – full of joy, connection and a sense of community.

Thank you again to our brilliant guests for making the afternoon so memorable. We hope to see your fancy footwork back at Lear House again soon!
