The weeks leading up to Christmas were filled with wonderful activities here at Lear House, bringing plenty of music, movement, laughter and shared moments for our residents to enjoy. We were delighted to welcome a range of familiar faces and friends who helped make each afternoon so special.
The Melrose Singers
A big thank you to The Melrose Singers, who spent a lovely afternoon with us last week. Residents enjoyed a wonderful programme of festive music and readings, creating a calm and reflective atmosphere that was perfect for the season. The harmonies and thoughtful readings were thoroughly enjoyed by everyone, and it was a truly relaxing afternoon spent together. We are very much looking forward to welcoming them back again soon.

Jenna from Boogie Woogie Music, Movement & Memories
Earlier in the month, we had a fabulous afternoon with Jenna from Boogie Woogie Music, Movement & Memories. As always, the session was full of energy, with lots of music, dancing and fun. Jenna brought her infectious enthusiasm, encouraging everyone to join in at their own pace. To add to the excitement, there was even some snow, which caused plenty of smiles and laughter and made the afternoon feel extra magical.

Sandra Currie
Christmas Eve afternoon brought another highlight, as we welcomed the fabulous Sandra Currie to Lear House. The afternoon was filled with wonderful music, great company and, of course, some dancing too. It was a lovely way to spend Christmas Eve, with residents enjoying familiar tunes and the warm, festive atmosphere created by live music and shared celebration.

Activities with Carla
Just before Christmas, we also enjoyed an afternoon of activities with Carla, which combined movement and friendly competition. As always, the session began with chair-based exercises, helping everyone warm up and get moving. Once the exercises were finished, the fun really began with a croquet tournament. There was plenty of encouragement, laughter and good-natured competition as residents took part and cheered each other on.
Each of these events brought something different, but all shared the same sense of togetherness and enjoyment. From music and dancing to games and gentle exercise, it was a wonderful run of activities that helped make the festive period at Lear House so memorable.

A big thank you to everyone who joined us and helped make these afternoons so enjoyable. We are already looking forward to many more moments like these in the months ahead.
