Last Friday marked the end of an era at Abbeyfield Hoylake & West Kirby as we said a heartfelt goodbye to Sarah, our wonderful Care Manager, who has been a part of the Lear House family for an incredible 28 years.
With a career defined by respectful and attentive elderly care, Sarah has played a vital role in shaping the warm, welcoming and supportive environment we’re so proud of. Her dedication, compassion and endless good humour have touched the lives of so many residents, families and colleagues over the years – and it’s safe to say she will be greatly missed by all.

We marked this special occasion with a presentation and a celebratory glass of fizz, taking the time to reflect on the memories, the laughs and the incredible contribution Sarah has made. There were smiles, stories and even a few tears as everyone came together to give her the send-off she truly deserves.
Sarah’s commitment to caring for older people with dignity and respect has been at the heart of our home for nearly three decades. She’s seen changes, celebrated milestones and supported countless residents with warmth, professionalism and a personal touch that made a lasting difference.

While it’s hard to imagine Lear House without her, we’re so excited for what comes next in her journey and we wish her nothing but happiness and success in the future. Thank you, Sarah, for everything – you leave behind not just a legacy, but a whole lot of love.
