A Joyful Afternoon with The 64 N’Ukes

There’s nothing quite like the sound of ukuleles and laughter to brighten up an afternoon – and that’s exactly what we had at Abbeyfield Hoylake & West Kirby, thanks to the fabulous 64 N’Ukes!

The 64 N’Ukes are a community ukelele group that raise money for chaity. The group have multipleperformnaces a week all across the wirral.

We were absolutely thrilled to welcome this brilliant group of musicians to Lear House, and what a visit it was. With a brilliant mix of songs, infectious energy and plenty of sing-along moments, The 64 N’Ukes brought music, fun and a lot of toe-tapping joy to our lounge. Residents were clapping, swaying and smiling throughout – some even singing along to old favourites and new surprises alike.

Their performance wasn’t just about music – it was about bringing people together, sparking memories and lifting spirits. Moments like this are such a big part of how we offer life-enriching activities for older adults and create a safe and social setting for ageing well.

We can’t thank them enough for taking the time to share their talents with us. Our residents absolutely loved every minute and have already been asking when they’ll be back. Their visit is a perfect example of how we combine community-led care in Merseyside with engaging activities that support day-to-day care with a personal touch.

Whether you’re looking into supportive senior living in Wirral, short-term elderly care in Hoylake, or simply want to explore friendly residential homes for older adults, Abbeyfield Hoylake & West Kirby offers something truly special – care with heart, and plenty of music and laughter along the way.

Thank you to The 64 N’Ukes – we hope to see you again very soon!
