We had a wonderful afternoon celebrating St Patrick’s Day at Abbeyfield Lear House with the fantastic Sandra Currie! Our residents enjoyed a lively session filled with Irish songs and their regular musical favourites. It was smiles and laughter all around, highlighting the warmth and community-centric spirit of Abbeyfield Hoylake & West Kirby.

Abbeyfield Hoylake & West Kirby Society recently welcomed Caroline and the children from St Agnes Pre-School Group for a delightful morning filled with laughter, storytelling and intergenerational fun at Abbeyfield Lear House.

At Abbeyfield Hoylake & West Kirby, we’re always delighted when Tim and his Golden Retriever, Gwyl, come to visit. As volunteers with Therapy Dogs Nationwide, their visits bring immense joy and comfort to our residents, lifting their spirits and sparking countless smiles.

We read poetry about dancing and listened to music including 'I Could Have Danced All Night'. A great afternoon as always with lots of discussion going on.

This week at Abbeyfield Hoylake & West Kirby, our residents got stuck into another fantastic activity session with Carla, and we put our crochet skills to the test!

It’s been a week of joy and cake at Abbeyfield Hoylake & West Kirby as we celebrated two very special birthdays! Our lovely resident Daphne marked her birthday on 10th March, followed by Pat on 11th March—a double dose of celebrations, laughter, and, of course, delicious cake. The lounge was filled with smiles as everyone came together to wish them both a fantastic year ahead.

Another brilliant afternoon of music and dancing with Mark Birch at Abbeyfield Hoylake & West Kirby! Favourite songs, special requests and plenty of smiles – just one of the many ways our Residential Care Home keeps community spirit alive through adaptable care and joyful moments together.

Abbeyfield Hoylake & West Kirby celebrated Pancake Day in style! Chef Sarah delighted residents at Abbeyfield Lear House with an expert pancake-flipping demo, delicious treats and plenty of laughter. It was a brilliant example of community-centric living and fun-filled activities at our Wirral residential care home.

Our February Crafternoon brought residents together for a relaxing session of sketching and drawing, led by the talented Celia. With inspiration from zebras, birds, trees, and more, our residents enjoyed an afternoon filled with concentration, laughter, and artistic expression.
