We enjoyed a joyful birthday celebration at Abbeyfield Lear House in West Kirby with music, poetry and homemade cake. A great example of community-centric living and adaptable care in a warm residential care home.
There’s something truly magnificent about the radiant energy Carla brings to Abbeyfield Lear House during our “Active Afternoon” with the fabulous Carla. This was clear when she came to visit last month, our residents truly light up at events like these.
This weekend, the lovely Joan celebrated turning 103! With cake, candles and lots of fun - at Abbeyfield Lear house, we really know how to celebrate birthdays!
Abbeyfield Hoylake & West Kirby recently welcomed entertainer Mark Birch for a lively afternoon of music, dancing and community connection. Residents enjoyed a selection of classic favourites and new tunes in a fun, interactive session designed to promote wellbeing, joy and social engagement in a warm, supportive setting.
Last month, we had a fantastic time celebrating St Georges Day with a lively sing-along and, of course some dancing led by the wonderful Sandra Currie.

Abbeyfield Lear House, a Residential Care Home in West Kirby, is seeking a full-time Senior Carer to join their team for a 12-month maternity cover position.
Our lovely residents at Abbeyfield Lear house have been making the most of the sun and warm weather outside in our garden.
We recieved some very special visitors at Abbeyfield Hoylake & West Kirby. We loved welcoming Tim and his Golden Retriever, Gwyl, to visit. Our residents find such joy from spending time with the pair of them, they simply cant get enough of the lovely Gwyl.

Last week at Abbeyfield Lear House we joined the rest of the nation in marking the 80th Anniversary of VE Day and what a lovely celebration we had.
Our residents had an amazing activities afternoon with the fantastic Carla. She uses props such as tennis rackets, balloons and hoops which challenges our residents and most of all puts a smile on their faces.
