Fun with Carrie’s Nursery & Caroline’s Childminding

There’s something truly heartwarming about hearing laughter from every corner of Abbeyfield Lear House, and last week, that joy came courtesy of some very special visitors.

We were delighted to welcome a brilliant new group of pre-school children from Carrie’s Tiney Home Nursery and Caroline’s Childminding. Along with the two wonderful ladies who care for them, the children joined us for a fun-filled morning of songs, games and getting to know each other. And what a lovely morning it was!

Is there anything better than watching different generations bond over a nursery rhyme or a game of catch? We don’t think so. The energy, the smiles, the endless curiosity – it was absolutely infectious.

At Abbeyfield Hoylake & West Kirby, moments like these aren’t just the occasional treat – they’re part of what makes our care home feel like a true community. It’s all part of our commitment to community-centric living and adaptable care that suits the individual, not just the routine.

From sing-alongs to playful games, the children brought a spark of joy that lingered long after the visit ended. Our residents lit up in their company – and we’re pretty sure the feeling was mutual!

We’re already looking forward to the next visit. Who’ll win the next round of balloon tennis? Will we get another rendition of Twinkle Twinkle? There’s only one way to find out…

Looking for residential care on the Wirral that’s full of life, laughter and meaningful connection? Whether it’s long-term support or short-term respite care, Abbeyfield Lear House offers the highest quality care with a personal touch.
