We had another fun-filled morning with the children from St Agnes Pre-School Group! Their visits always bring so much joy and energy and we love seeing their smiling faces.
Here are some photos from our recent art session with Celia. It was a wonderful afternoon filled with focus and creativity, with lots of concentration on everyone’s faces as they worked on their pieces.
A big thank you to Greer from Jackson's Animal Rescue for visiting us last month to talk about the important work they do with hedgehogs. It was an incredibly interesting talk, and we all learned so much about these fascinating creatures and the charity’s efforts to protect them.
We’re delighted to share photos of our tree at this year’s Christmas Tree Festival at St Hildeburgh's Parish Church in Hoylake! As you may have seen in previous photos, all the decorations were lovingly knitted by our talented Knit and Natter Group, expertly guided by Heather. We’re so proud of their wonderful work!
We had a wonderful time at our second Pamper Afternoon of November! Residents enjoyed fabulous treatments from Tropic Skincare with Jess Harrison, including manicures, a glass of fizz, and some lovely relaxing music.
We had a wonderful afternoon recently when Sandra Currie came to visit us again! Sandra always treats us to a fabulous range of songs, including plenty of our favourite requests, and we had a great time singing along.
Yesterday, we celebrated a special day at Lear House—Rosemary’s birthday! Surrounded by friends and good cheer, Rosemary enjoyed her day with the Abbeyfield Hoylake & West Kirby family.
A big thank you to the wonderful Beacon Belles for visiting us last week! They performed a fabulous collection of festive music and readings, and everyone had the chance to try out the instruments too.

We had a great afternoon last week with Andy Bayley! The session was filled with wonderful music, plenty of singing, and, of course, some dancing. It was a fun and lively time, bringing everyone together for a joyful experience.
On Friday afternoon last week, we had the pleasure of meeting The Crazy Chicken Lady and her feathered friend, Queenie the chicken! It was a great afternoon filled with interesting questions, conversations about Queenie, and reminiscing about the joys of keeping chickens.
