Last month, we had a fantastic time celebrating St Georges Day with a lively sing-along and, of course some dancing led by the wonderful Sandra Currie. Her warmth and energy made the afternoon even more special. The afternoon was filled with joy and happiness as Sandra treated us to a great mix of our favourite nostalgic tunes alongside some rousing patriotic classics that had everyone tapping their feet and singing along. From heartfelt anthems to toe-tapping tunes the music has something for everyone.

Dressed perfectly for the occasion in a vibrant union jack dress and matching headband, Sandra brought plenty of excitement – and even some maracas for the residents to join in the fun. the amotsphere was buzzing with smiles all around and a real sense of community spirit. It was another memorable afternoon of music, laughter and celebration.
Sandra Currie is a care home entertainer who is all about warm, gentle, positive interaction.
Before the show she likes to chat with the residents. This is so important for residents who may be nervous of an unfamiliar face or unusual sounds.
Tambourines and maracas are given out ( and cleaned after every show) these are especially enjoyed by those residents who are not able to join in the singing, but who still want to feel part of the show.

“Brilliant afternoon, thanks to you all for being so fabulous!!!”
– Sandra Currie on Facebook following the event
As always, Sandra brought laughter, music and meaningful connection to oiur residents. St Georges Day gave us the perfect excuse to come together, celebrate tradition and create new memories. We’re already looking forward to the next one.
