There’s nothing quite like live music to lift the spirits, and at Abbeyfield Hoylake & West Kirby, we’re all about moments that bring people together. Earlier this month, we welcomed back the brilliant Andrew and Marko for another toe-tapping afternoon that had the whole lounge buzzing with energy.
With tambourines shaking, feet tapping and a few hips having a wiggle too, this was community-centric living at its best.

Andrew’s banjo and Marko’s washboard may not be your typical duo, but their chemistry and charisma make every session unforgettable. The pair had our residents clapping, singing and chuckling from the get-go pulling classic tunes out of the bag and encouraging everyone to get involved.

These sessions do more than entertain—they connect. Music is incredibly powerful for people living in care. It brings memories rushing back, helps ease anxiety, and boosts both mood and wellbeing. That’s why we build these kinds of experiences into our adaptable care approach at Abbeyfield Lear House.
It’s not just about excellent round the clock care. It’s about making sure each day offers joy, purpose and meaningful connection.

We’ve captured some of the best moments in our photo gallery, beaming faces, joyful noise, and tambourines galore!
Whether you’re looking for residential care, respite care or replacement care in Hoylake, West Kirby or the wider Wirral, we invite you to come and see the warmth, laughter and highest quality care that makes Abbeyfield Lear House so special.
