Music, movement and fairground fun were on the agenda as Jenna returned for another brilliant Boogie Woogie session – with help from our youngest volunteer, Charlie! A joyful afternoon with games, laughs and a gold medal moment for Vera.
Our first August session with Carla got everyone moving with bean bags, resistance bands and plenty of smiles! A joyful afternoon of exercise, laughter and community at Abbeyfield Hoylake & West Kirby.
A huge thank you to The 64 N’Ukes for filling our lounge with music, smiles and plenty of fun! Our residents loved their performance and can’t wait to welcome them back.
After 28 years of compassionate care and dedication, we said a fond farewell to Sarah, our beloved Care Manager. With smiles, fizz and warm wishes, we celebrated her incredible journey at Lear House.
Our recent Open Afternoon at Abbeyfield Hoylake & West Kirby was full of music, dancing, cake and community. With live entertainment from Mark Birch, fizz, and even a visit from a tiny guest, it was a joyful celebration of friendship, fun and later life living at its best.
A huge thank you to Anne, Ray, Andrew, Antonia, Jane and Rod for a brilliant afternoon of dancing at Lear House. With plenty of audience participation and laughter, it was another joyful activity at Abbeyfield Hoylake & West Kirby supporting wellbeing and connection for our residents.
Our latest Shared Reading session with Anne from The Reader was full of poetry, conversation and connection. These inspiring afternoons are part of the enriching care we provide at Abbeyfield Hoylake & West Kirby, in partnership with a national charity that uses literature to support wellbeing and community.
Our popular Thursday morning Knit and Natter sessions with Heather bring residents together for crafting and conversation. From knitting gifts for Christmas shoeboxes to sharing holiday memories and pet stories, it’s all part of the homely, life-enriching care offered at Abbeyfield Hoylake & West Kirby.
We received some very special visitors at Abbeyfield Hoylake & West Kirby. We loved welcoming Tim and his Golden Retriever, Gwyll, to visit. Our residents find such joy from spending time with the pair of them, they simply cant get enough of the lovely Gwyll.
Join us in wishing Margaret a very Happy Birthday, with cake and celebrations it was certainly one to remember.

Our second Activities Afternoon in July with Carla was packed with gentle exercises, colourful beanbags and plenty of laughter. From wrist stretches to a hilarious game of ‘Simon Says’, our residents enjoyed an uplifting session designed to support movement and wellbeing in a fun, social way.
