Happy Christmas from everyone at Lear House! We had a lovely crafternoon with Celia earlier this month, making beautiful Christmas decorations and spreading festive cheer. Wishing you all a joyful and sparkling holiday season!

We were delighted to welcome St Agnes Pre-School Group to Lear House last week for a wonderful performance of their nativity play. It was a heartwarming afternoon full of festive joy, and we can’t wait to see them again in the new year!

We know how to throw a Christmas party at Lear House! With festive outfits, a delicious lunch, fabulous singing from Mark Birch, dancing, and even a visit from Santa, it was a magical day of festive fun and celebration.

A fantastic afternoon of music with Andrew and Marko! Highlights included tambourines, dancing, and a special request for All Around My Hat, a classic English folk song that filled the room with joy at Abbeyfield Hoylake and West Kirby's Lear House.

A Popcats Christmas party is pure festive joy! With music, fun, and a touch of reading magic, Caroline made it a heartwarming afternoon full of holiday cheer at Abbeyfield Hoylake and West Kirby Society.

What a fabulous fairground-themed afternoon we had with Jenna from Boogie Woogie Music, Movement & Memories! With music, dancing, hook-a-duck, and a team parachute activity to finish, it was a joyful and energetic day to remember at Abbeyfield Hoylake and West Kirby Society.

We’re proud to share some photos from the Wirral Libraries Story Patchwork Project, created to celebrate 50 years of the Borough of Wirral. Earlier this year, we spent a lovely afternoon with Celia making squares for the exhibition.

Our December Shared Reading session with Anne from The Reader was filled with the festive spirit as we explored poems about Christmas and winter. As always, the discussion that followed was lively and heartwarming, with residents sharing memories and stories.
