Whether you’re a new parent looking for enriching baby activities near you, or a local family searching for meaningful community connections, this is the group you’ve been waiting for.

A group of elderly people and carers sit in a bright room, taking part in Sensory Play with babies and toys spread across mats. A woman stands, leading the Boogie Baby activity.

What Is Boogie Baby?

Boogie Baby isn’t just another baby music class. It’s a one-of-a-kind intergenerational sensory play experience where babies, their grown-ups, and older generations come together through the power of music, movement, and memory.

Held at Abbeyfield Residential Care Home in West Kirby, these sessions create something rare and beautiful: genuine, joyful connections between the very youngest and oldest members of our community. Think giggling babies, tapping feet, and smiles that go across every generation in the room.

What’s included in every session:

  • 🎡 Music & movement – singing, rhythm, and gentle sensory stimulation perfect for babies from 8 weeks to first steps
  • 🌈 Sensory play – tactile, visual, and auditory activities designed to support early childhood development
  • 🀝 Friendship & community – a warm, welcoming space for parents, carers, and grandparents to connect
  • πŸ’› Intergenerational bonding – the kind of heartfelt moments you’ll remember forever

These sessions are suitable for babies from 8 weeks old right up to those taking their first steps, so whether you’ve just brought your newborn home or you have a curious little cruiser, there’s a place for you here.

Here’s what makes Boogie Baby stand out as one of the best baby sensory classes in Wirral:

  • Intergenerational approach – unlike traditional baby groups, Boogie Baby brings care home residents into the heart of the session, creating a richer, more meaningful experience for everyone
  • Development-focused play – every activity is thoughtfully designed to support babies’ cognitive, social, and sensory development
  • Community rooted – this isn’t just a class, it’s a local movement building connections between families and older generations in West Kirby and across the Wirral
  • Limited spaces – small group sizes mean your baby gets genuine attention and interaction, not just a seat in a crowded hall

A Note for Parents, Grandparents & Carers

We know how much it matters to find activities that feel good, for your baby and for you. Boogie Baby sessions are warm, informal, and genuinely fun. You don’t need to be musical, you don’t need any experience, and you absolutely don’t need to worry about your little one being “too young” or “too wriggly.”

What you will find is a room full of people who are thrilled to be there, a team who genuinely love what they do, and moments that, if our previous terms are anything to go by, you will treasure for years to come.
