Spooky Fun and Birthday Smiles at Connected Generations!

The birthday celebrations kept on coming for Doreen, as our Connected Generations session with Jenna from Connected Community Wellbeing CIC turned into another party! And as you may have guessed from the photos, this week’s theme was Halloween, making for a morning full of music, fun and plenty of smiles.

More Birthday Celebrations for Doreen

Doreen’s special birthday was such a happy occasion that one celebration simply wasn’t enough! Sharing her birthday with our little visitors and their families made the morning even more special, and it was lovely to see the generations come together to wish her many happy returns.

Happy Birthday once again, Doreen, from everyone at Lear House and Connected Generations!

A Halloween Morning to Remember

With Halloween just around the corner, Jenna treated everyone to a spooky but friendly themed session. The photos say it all: it was a morning of seasonal fun for residents, babies and their grown-ups alike, and everyone got into the Halloween spirit.

Music and Interaction Between the Generations

As always, music was at the heart of the morning. There was lots of great music to enjoy, along with plenty of interaction between our residents and our youngest visitors, whether that meant singing together, sharing a smile or joining in with the activities side by side.

It is these moments of connection that make Connected Generations so special. Week by week, familiar faces are becoming firm friends, and every session brings something new to enjoy together.

Why Connected Generations Matters

Intergenerational sessions bring real benefits for everyone who takes part:

  • For residents: fresh company, laughter and a real sense of connection with the wider community
  • For babies and little ones: a warm, welcoming space to enjoy music, play and new faces
  • For parents and carers: a friendly group and the chance to be part of something special
  • For everyone: shared moments and celebrations, like Doreen’s birthday, that brighten the whole week

Thank You, Jenna!

A big thank you to Jenna and Connected Community Wellbeing CIC for another really special morning, and to all the families who came along and helped make Doreen’s birthday celebrations so memorable.
