We enjoyed another fabulous Connected Generations session with Jenna from Connected Community Wellbeing CIC. With autumn well and truly here, this week’s theme was the pumpkin patch, and it made for a really great morning spent together.
Welcome to the Pumpkin Patch
Our pumpkin patch theme was the perfect way to celebrate the season. The stars of the show were our youngest visitors, who arrived in the cutest pumpkin hats you have ever seen. Seeing a room full of little pumpkins brought smiles to every face before the session had even started.
Themed sessions like this give everyone something to look forward to and talk about, and the pumpkin patch was a lovely, cosy fit for this time of year.

Smiles From Everyone
What stood out most was just how much everyone enjoyed themselves. Residents, babies and their grown-ups shared the morning side by side, and there were smiles all round from start to finish.
Jenna has a wonderful way of creating sessions that young and old can enjoy together, so that everyone feels part of the fun, whether they are joining in, watching on or simply enjoying the company.

Bringing the Generations Together
At the heart of Connected Generations is the simple joy of different generations spending time together. Week by week, the connections between our residents and our little visitors keep growing, with more familiar faces, more shared giggles and more confidence on both sides.
Intergenerational sessions bring real benefits for everyone involved:
- For residents: fresh company, laughter and a real sense of purpose and connection
- For babies and little ones: a warm, welcoming space to meet new people and enjoy music and play
- For parents and carers: a friendly community group and a chance to be part of something special
- For everyone: shared moments and memories that brighten the whole week

Thank You, Jenna!
A big thank you to Jenna and Connected Community Wellbeing CIC, and to all the babies, little ones and families who came along in their pumpkin best. We can’t wait to see what next week’s theme brings!
