We had a lovely morning with the children from Carrie’s Tiney Home Nursery, and it was wonderful to see them back at Lear House! The morning brought birthday wishes, story time and plenty of smiles all round.
A Special Birthday Card for Doreen
The children arrived with something very special: a birthday card for Doreen to mark her special birthday. It was such a thoughtful gesture, and a lovely way to round off what has been a wonderful few weeks of birthday celebrations for Doreen here at Lear House.
Story Time Together
After the card had been presented, it was time for some reading. The children spent time reading with our residents, sharing books, looking at the pictures together and enjoying the stories side by side.
Reading together is one of the simplest and most special ways for the generations to connect. Our residents love sharing stories with the little ones, and the children enjoy having a captive audience and a friendly face to read with.
Always a Highlight
Visits from Carrie’s Tiney Home Nursery are always a highlight of our day. The children bring so much energy, curiosity and joy with them, and our residents look forward to seeing their familiar faces each time they come. We love having them here!
