Little Hands & Big Hearts, Craft Morning at Lear House!

There’s something truly magical about watching little hands and older hands working side by side. That’s exactly what happened during a wonderfully warm and creative morning here at Lear House recently.

We were absolutely delighted to welcome the toddlers and preschoolers from Caroline’s Childminding and Carrie’s Tiney Home Nursery for a morning of crafts, creativity, and the kind of joyful intergenerational connection that makes Lear House such a special place to be.

The smiles on both sides said everything. 💛

What made the morning so special:

  • 🎨 Hands-on crafting together – residents and children working side by side on shared projects
  • 👶 Toddler and preschool energy – the infectious curiosity and joy of little ones bringing the room to life
  • 💛 Genuine connection – natural, easy bonds forming between generations over a shared creative task
  • 😊 Smiles everywhere – from the tiniest visitors to our most experienced crafters, the joy was real
  • 🌟 A sense of community – a beautiful reminder that Lear House is not just a care home, but a living part of the wider West Kirby community

Why Intergenerational Visits Like This One Matter

Visits from young children are one of the most powerful and uplifting things that can happen in a residential care setting. The research consistently confirms what we see with our own eyes every time it happens. At Lear House, we actively seek out and nurture these intergenerational connections. We believe they enrich life for absolutely everyone involved.

A Huge Welcome to Caroline’s Childminding & Carrie’s Tiney Home Nursery

We couldn’t have had such a wonderful morning without our brilliant visitors. A huge thank you and warm welcome to the children, carers, and teams from Caroline’s Childminding and Carrie’s Tiney Home Nursery.

Both settings clearly nurture curious, confident, and wonderfully creative little people. Having them here at Lear House was an absolute joy. We hope it was just as special for them as it was for us, and we very much hope to see those little faces again soon!
