Flexibility, Fun and Balloon Tennis with Carla

Another fantastic afternoon with Carla brought plenty of movement, laughter and friendly competition to Lear House last week.

As part of our regular programme of life-enriching activities for older adults, the session began with a series of gentle exercises. We focus on improving flexibility, mobility and strength. These sessions are designed to support wellbeing in a relaxed and enjoyable way, helping residents stay active while enjoying the social side of group activities.

Once everyone was warmed up, the fun really began with a lively game of balloon tennis. The room quickly filled with smiles, laughter and plenty of cheering as residents batted the balloons back and forth. They even enjoyed a little playful competition along the way.

Sessions like these are a wonderful example of supportive senior living in Wirral, combining gentle exercise with meaningful social interaction in a safe and social setting for ageing well. Whether joining in with the exercises or getting competitive during the game, everyone had the chance to take part at their own pace.

At Abbeyfield Hoylake & West Kirby, activities like this are an important part of our day-to-day care with a personal touch. Carla helps create a warm, engaging and homely environment for later life. Residents can stay active, connected and entertained.

Another wonderful afternoon full of movement, fun and laughter. We are already looking forward to the next session with Carla.
