Yeehaw! What a Final Boogie Baby Session!

What a way to end the term! Our final Boogie Baby intergenerational music session with the wonderful Jenna from Boogie Woogie Music, Movement & Memories was one for the memory books. We had a very special little cowboy to thank for making it extra magical.

We celebrated the first birthday of the adorable Bradley with a brilliant cowboy-themed session, complete with a surprise appearance from our very own Lear House Bear. The smiles, laughter, and pure joy that filled the room were simply wonderful.

What Made This Term’s Boogie Baby Sessions So Special

Led with such warmth and skill by Jenna from Boogie Woogie Music, Movement & Memories, this term’s Boogie Baby sessions have been nothing short of wonderful. Week after week, babies and their grown-ups joined our residents for music, movement, laughter, and the kind of genuine intergenerational connection that is truly rare and truly beautiful.

What every session brought to Lear House:

  • 🎵 Live music and singing – joyful, inclusive, and loved by babies and residents alike
  • 👶 Sensory play and movement – perfectly designed for babies from 8 weeks to first steps
  • 💛 Intergenerational bonds – the connections formed between our youngest and oldest community members have been genuinely moving
  • 😊 Smiles all round – from the tiniest babies to our most seasoned residents, the joy has been universal
  • 🐻 Unforgettable moments – none more so than Bradley’s cowboy birthday celebration to close the term!

The Magic of Intergenerational Activities in Residential Care

Boogie Baby is a perfect example of why intergenerational programmes in care homes are so enormously valuable, for residents, for babies, and for the wider community.

For our residents, welcoming babies and young families into Lear House each week brings energy, joy, and a sense of connection to the wider world around them. For the babies and their grown-ups, sharing time with older generations offers warmth, wisdom, and experiences they simply couldn’t find anywhere else.

Thank You, Jenna, and Thank You to Every Family Who Joined Us

A huge, heartfelt thank you to the brilliant Jenna for leading every session with such skill, warmth, and infectious enthusiasm. Jenna has a truly special gift for creating a space where every age feels welcome, engaged, and joyful. We are so grateful for everything she brings to Lear House.

And thank you to every baby, grown-up, and family who joined us this term. You’ve made Lear House feel even more like the vibrant, connected community it truly is.

See You in September!

The good news? This isn’t goodbye, it’s just see you later! We are very much looking forward to launching a brand-new block of Boogie Baby sessions in September, and we cannot wait to welcome familiar faces and new ones alike.
