Smiles, Laughter & Infectious Energy

If you’re looking for proof that music, movement, and a whole lot of fun can transform an afternoon, look no further than our brilliant Popcats sessions with the wonderful Caroline!

We’ve had not one but two fantastic Popcats afternoons here at Lear House recently. Both were every bit as joyful, energetic, and full of smiles as you’d hope. Residents have been singing, dancing, laughing, and even putting their quiz knowledge to the test. The atmosphere has been absolutely electric.

What Is Popcats? Music, Movement & Pure Joy

Popcats is a fantastic music and movement session led by the brilliant Caroline and it has quickly become one of the most eagerly anticipated events on our activities calendar. From the moment Caroline arrives, the energy in the room lifts, feet start tapping, and it isn’t long before everyone is up and joining in.

Popcats sessions are wonderfully inclusive, joyful, and genuinely fun, bringing together singing, dancing, music, and interactive activities in a way that suits residents of all abilities and energy levels. There’s always something to get involved in, whether you’re up on your feet or enjoying the music from your chair.

What every Popcats session brings:

  • 🎵 Live music and singing – feel-good songs that get everyone joining in
  • 💃 Dancing and movement – joyful, energising, and great for keeping active
  • 🧠 Quiz questions – a brilliant way to keep minds sharp and spark lively conversation
  • 😊 Laughter and great energy – the kind of session that leaves everyone on a high

Session One

Our first recent Popcats session was everything we love about having Caroline visit. The room was full of smiles from start to finish. Residents were singing along, moving to the music, and sharing in the kind of laughter that fills a room and lingers long after the session ends.

The energy Caroline brings is genuinely infectious. She has a brilliant ability to read the room and bring the best out of everyone, making sure every single resident feels included, energised, and part of the fun.

As the photos from the afternoon show, the joy was absolutely everywhere.

Session Two: Dancing, Music, Singing & Quiz Time!

Our second Popcats session was equally fabulous! If anything, even more action-packed! Alongside the dancing, music, and singing that everyone loves, Caroline added in some brilliant quiz questions that had residents thinking, laughing, and debating in equal measure.

It’s that variety that makes Popcats such a standout session. It isn’t just entertainment, it’s a fully rounded activity that engages residents physically, cognitively, and socially all at once.

The fun was, as always, in plentiful supply.
